PC - TS2

Postby Al » Mon, 01 Jan 2007 20:52

Guys,

I'd just like to conduct a count. I'd like to know how many people actually own a copy of Top Spin 2 for PC & if so would they like a PC TS2 Tour?

Just to be clear I'm interested in Top Spin 2 for PC & NOT XBOX 360.

Regards
Al

Thing is guys, let me just explain the obvious......

if we have very low numbers that actually own this game then we simply won't run a tour. It's no fun for anyone playing a tour with like 10 people in it!

So if you know others that have this game but aren't aware of the ITST get them to sign up here & vote as soon as possible.

Sorry I don't mean to be pesamistic & I would love to be able to run a TS2 PC Tour for you all but I have to be realistic as our resources are limited.

Matches between argentinian and european guys are heavy laggy on xbox 360.
So if it would be the same on PC, knowing the quantity of argentinian guys who would like to play an hypothetical PC TS2 tour, is not viable.
It could bring a lot of arguments.
At least I had to left Xbox 360 tour the last season because I have only decent connection vs american guys and 90% of the guys playing ITST were european.

I recently for christmas got a xbox 360 with the TS2 game and the lag that I had with overseas guys was very bad. So if the TS2 pc version has the same type of lag then it will be very difficult to compete fairly in tourneys. Also, the specs to run ts2 for pc might mean that I might have to upgrade my computer, and I am not sure if it is worthwile to spend extra money to play the game online. On a side note, I see the TS1 pc tour is still attracting quite a few entrants into the first tourneys of the year and the numbers should still go up with more guys still to come back from their xmas/new years holidays.

hi Al, about the problem of 10 players, i have to remember you than the double tour in top spin 1 was not better than around 10 persons, 10 teams...
but i'll do my best to tell lot of french people to come in ITST play TS2. 8)

The most online players are in the TS1 room in Gamespy. I think it should be enough to let your firewall connect to the internet.
I think we should really make an extern chat, because people who don't have ts1 neither have gamespy.
When I see some new guys on TS2 online I immediately tell them about ITST. But I don't know if they register, although they tell me they want to...
