Anyone following real tennis should know, but I guess you are in good company: Sh0Case had no clue about it, either.

My reply at least contained a link to where he can find the answer for his question.

Sorry for assuming that someone who is Top 10 on TS4 Xbox360 Tour and member since November 2011 should know how draws in tennis are made -- tennis knowledge and being good at ITST should go without saying.

I'm more curious of how for example the number 5 seed can get a much tougher draw than the number 7 or 8 seed. I thought that like the last seeded would draw the top seeded like -
1-10
2-9
3-8
4-7
5-6

and not 2-5 like it is this week?

:? Can't say I see the link here. If you looking for an outlet - look no further then the game itself.

In tennis it is different (see link in the link above). Number 1 and number 2 seed can only meet in the final, number 1/2 and number 3/4 can meet only in SF and in QF number 1/2/3/4 can meet any of number 5/6/7/8 -- all assuming the seeds are living up to their seed status.

Okay so 5-8 could end up anywhere in the draw. Thank you.....

Only 1 and 2 are "placed" in the draw. Just read the link VMoe posted - it explains everything.

As a member of a site I would expect to be helped by 'staff' not ridiculed. The tournament host's comment was rude and unnecessary and although it is probably mentioned somewhere else on the site about the draws it doesn't mean that every member has read it.

That is not what I was referring to. I was referring specifically to your comment:
"Another example as to why sign ups are getting less."

I just don't see the link between Vmoes response, be it rude or not, and it being "an example as to why sign-ups are getting less".

Are you saying Vmoe is somehow responsible? :?

Never-mind, I think your comment was frustration driven over the fact the the tour is getting smaller, after 2 years. That is understandable, I was in the same boat with TS3 (although that one never really died, was rather replaced by TS4).

BTW - I found Vmoe's jab at Sho and Fifa funny. This is what it was, just a smart ass remark that hit home. I didn't find it rude or offensive towards the poster, if anyone should be offended is Sho and Fifa, but I think they can handle themselves quite well. :)

To be fair I never really knew how the draw was made apart from the first 4 seeds not playing till the semi finals.i had the impression that the number 1 seed would play the 7th or 8th player but its good to know that it could be any of the top 8.

the draw is funny sometimes it does seem you get a much harder draw one week and easier one the next.but suppose that's the game.and to be fair the gap between us is not that big so it's tough playing anyone of the top 8
