Women's SIM/Fed Cup

PaintedCrystal has an interesting idea and since I've complained about it until I've turned green in the face, I think the healthier approach would be to poll the members here and get a count of how many would be interested in having a Women's SIM tour and or Fed Cup?

I'm counting all the amazing women's tour players to vote and to help me develop a Warm Up Tournament with the permission of ITST management. I will create several setups as did our wonderful senior host djarvik and present them on this thread as well. Hopefully we can get our all arounders back like Kina and MysteryPlayer...two of the most talented in WS. Please vote and keep the thread clean and add any ideas you may have. I'll be working on the SIM players!!! PM me if needed! So excited!! :lol:

Yeah C4...that may be true but I was thinking something a bit different that may bring more attention to the WSS...only bronze coaches can be used...that way there'll be no skills and each point has to be strategized. It may make it interesting. I don't know...but hopefully.

Instead of creating set players for the members to use. Well have rules pre-set that only bronze coaches can be used and minimum number for S&V OFF and Def is 4 and the max number will be 9. One wing (bh or fh) has to be yellow or lesser.

Having the rules this way will force each player to having a strength and weakness but not limiting them to any particular set up as long as each created player is within the rules. This will allow for interesting matches, improve points and control shots, and most of all bring back the all-court game that's been missing for awhile on the Women's Tour.

To be honest, I don't think the skills matter that much.

A few have obvious effects, like instant rocket, but most of the ones that "make shots more precise" don't really do anything. Or rather, I think the only thing they do is make it easier to hit it with perfect timing....if you already hit your shots with perfect timing then it doesn't have any effect.

I recently started using a coach with Fatality as a skill and there is absolutely no difference between shots to the open court with him and with my player who doesn't have Fatality.

Regardless, using the bronze coaches would also lower ratings across the board, which would have at least some effect.

Some skills I think are just more detectable than others. For instance, Reach Swings Expert is highly effective and noticeable. Players get to almost EVERY ball but Longer, Better may not appear to be as noticeable because it becomes effective during longer rallies.

Great idea! I was wondering the other day why ITST doesn't have a FED cup to go with the Davis Cup. I think this will finally convince me to try SIM if it goes well also.
