Arranging matches

Postby VMoe86 » Sun, 27 Nov 2011 02:39

I just want to remind the ITST members of this post about how to arrange matches and how NOT (especially the PMs with "When can you play?" are annoying ;)):

Message:

Hello, we have a match to play.

I'll list my available times in CET.

Monday: From 4pm to 8pm
Tuesday: From 10pm to 12pm
Wednesday: From 9pm to 11pm
I can't play Thursday
Friday: From 6pm to 11pm

I ask you to choose a day and time that suits you best. If none of the times are good, please suggest times of your own.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings

Moralspain

Your opponent can choose a time to play. If he can not play any of those days, he can message you back proposing a new date.

So please stop sending messages like:

-Match tomorrow
-I´m online now
-Can you play now
-When can you play?
-Tomorow
-Where are you?

With those kind of PMs is very difficult you can finally play your matches.

It´s just a recommendation, but this way you will able to play more matches and you´ll make our job easier when the deadline arrives :D

Thank you

I hate to bump my own threads, but there you go. Maybe Xavi's post should be sent to all ITST members, because as a Host I'm even more furious about all "Are you online?", "Can you play now?" etc. messages when players try to arrange a match and the deadline arrives -- even more so when I have to use Google or Xavi translator to understand these messages.

we can set it as a "Sticky" if you wish, but trust me people tend to not follow advices/recommendations, neither here nor in real life, so there's no need for us to send a mass email.
Probably you'll find members posting here saying that we're wrong, and we don't know what we're talking about, and that those "smart"messages above are the best way to arrange their matches, it's just how all this works now.

If you, as a Host, find a "I'm online now" message just ignore it to make your decision.

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.
