Accuracy of Event Entreelists

Postby DarkTunde » Thu, 13 Oct 2011 17:17

I want to comment on something which has happened to me several times lately:

I go to sign for an event, so check if there are spaces left - which there are. Yet when I click the signup link, I'm told the event is full?

This just happened with the PS3 Kremlin Cup SIM. Showed 2 spaces left, but unable to sign up for it.
I used to think I was indecisive... but now I'm not so sure.

All the participants were not validated yet, when you guys sign up for a tournament, that advance registration has to be validated.

When you tried to sign up for the Kremlin Cup SIM, as you said, there were 30 validated participants, but 2 guys waiting to be validated. I know because i've just validated reconskillsxx and Stepen, that makes 32 guys.
We try to validate guys as soon as possible to avoid that situation
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Cool, thanks for clearing that up. :)

I suspected as much, but just wanted to know for sure.

See this:

You can see here that 29 people have signed up. So, there might be 6 spaces left, but if all signups are valid, there will only be 3.

I have always kind of wondered, what is the point of the whole validating the signup system?
