Don't feel so bad beltic. There are plenty of ways to win without using risk shots. I normally don't use them because I like playing high percentages. I actually only use them as a last resort when it is likely I will lose the point and figure I can get a little lucky. Like Djarvik said, there is no wrong way to use risk. There is a-lot of variation in the timing. I'm sure you can incorporate it into your game somehow. Don't give up because you are a good player.
