Returning serve with a drop is cheap and cheesy and good players should know better.

hmm difficult. Lobbing when ur opponent is on the baseline was always called as a cheat from almost everyone i know. and here u did it....i also had that in a match last time SIM. that is really annoying and not nice.

(drop shot return :?: :?: :?: .... i did not see anything like that)

on a second look it looked like a risk lob when your opponant was at the baseline. To be honest I think as long as you don't repeatedly play the same shot again and again its not that cheesy. I don't mind if someone hit a lob to me when i'm at baseline as long as they do it very very rarely. I played Ruspa 2 in matchmaking the other day and I hit 3 drops in the whole match. He hit almost all lobs. Afterwards i sent him a message insulting his play and he accused me of "abusing" the drop shot. Total madness.

Right. One time or rarely this is ok. But more often in a match is unfair.

i don't think it's unfair, because you can't guess what your oppenent will do. but i'm a simmer, and we play at volley, so maybe in REG, i think you rarely play at the net, so why do a lob?? i must agree, it's a lot unfair

sorry bergy

Marxion is right. You don't know if your opponent will run to the net.
I think when you don't use if that often it is not unfair.

OF COURSE IT IS NOT!!!!!!!!
coz a lob is like a long set stop a hit which gives u time to come back in position. look in real life tennis. if u are in the defense and u need some time to move back in position u can play a high ball what means a lob..... so what is the sense of this discussion????

but if u uses lob 1576385 times a match its cheesy... know what i mean??

greetz

I think when the player makes first lob, he don't know if the opponent will go to the net. And the second is weird, but only is one lob.

I don't think that this is unfair, logically, if the player only do it anytime in the match, if he makes this many times is different ...

Postby MAD MARTIN » Thu, 27 Jul 2006 16:03
