TS I PC Tour Tennis: Are you interested in DMT?

Postby Q. Reese » Fri, 24 Apr 2009 21:27

Hello,

I would like to get a quick assessment of players who are willing to play DMT like myself and others who are on the TS I PC tour.

I can recommend this game to all PC TS1 players. Sure, it may look like it is a big change and the prospect of learning to play another tennis game might be discouraging. But as a TS1 veteran my honest opinion is that this game is as much fun as TS1 ever was.

Good thread. I would love to see more TS1 players joining.

It's good to hear slicer say this cause he hasn't been really playing any game anymore since TS1. Right?

When Slicer says anything, it has weight to it. LOL. :P

Yes. I agree with you Aniltje.

We are at a very fragile moment with the TS I tour. If we start recruiting for reallocation of players from TS I to DMT, then I fear that the TS I tour will crash immediately.

Just my hunch. I could be wrong. I think we should start our efforts at the end of this season, October or November, where there are not much tournaments going on for the TS I tour.

Of course, if they want to join DMT now, they can. Like Slicer, myself, and others have done.

Either way, it is a win-win situation for the DMT tour; because, if and when the TS I ends, most PC'ers will not have a game to play, tennis-wise per ITST matches. So, they have one choice, as we know of . . . DMT!!

I have played games but havent enjoyed any as i did with TS1. DMT has the same fun factor for me.

All TS1 simmers will love this game when they have learned the basics. And when they bought the game cause the difference in fun-level between playing with McEnroe and Federer was big for me.

The only thing that kills me is the down-the-line shots. Very hard to master. This loses my interest a little. Yet, you know me, I am still persistent.

Most importantly, I remember that I am supporting the tour. That is what matters too me, even though I stick!

Down the lines aren't that hard. It takes a little pratice but I can hit them really easy now.

You made that very apparent for you when you thrased me with Mr. Federer! LOL.

It is not easy to figure out when you "take the game out of the box" like you would do with TS I. To me, that is a little discouraging.

Yeah, DMT is just a bit harde in the beginning but when mastered its not that hard to hit shots. Then it becomes more about who hits the right shot at the right moment like in any other game. Difference is that hitting the lines is more important then in any other game

right... i've played some guys online (btw they played with mcenroe too) which played really well, even better than me but they didn't know when to hit certain shot, and that's what i love of dmt, it takes a lot of strategy to win a point..
