Should we play the reg and sim circuits next year or no?

Want to talk about the original Top Spin? This is the place to do it.

The Top Spin 1 MS and MSS circuits should . . .

call it quits already!

This poll says it all: Only 15 people voted to keep the tour in some fashion. The numbers just aren't there anymore, and they will continue to drop.

Yes. Most of the Top Spin I players are not active on the forum. I picked up on this trend mid-2007. It has gotten progressively worst, forum-wise.

So, as I see what you are saying Rob, I must say that it is a bit different when all the members were not encouraged to say what they think here.

Like I said before, you are the new manager, and I respect your decision. We are just hoping for the WS concept this year to be used for the MS and MSS circuits next year.

QReese is right, a lot of players didn't vote on the forum. It is not possible to delete the sim tour if about 20 people want it to continue. The solution is to play grand slams at least, and why not masters series

Yea. I am trying to see if we can get another year out of this, especially for the sim tour.

However, I do understand that this is the best year to end, because many players may show interest then die out in the bitter end (same as the WS circuit in 2009).

The grand slams were perfect, but Toray Pan Pacific and the end-of-year championship was horrible.

So, I respect either idea(s) from management. I am very content and honored to have played for this tour, for so many years at that. :)

I will take the 2 titles in reg, 2 titles in sim, 6 titles in doubles, and two top 10 world tour ranking entries for all circuits (pre-Valencia Open 2009 and post BNP Paribas 2009).

Yet, these things are nothing. I loved the many practice matches, recruiting efforts of various players who I even mentored, and just pure togetherness we have had within this tour.

Great stuff guys! :tu

Talk about beating a dead horse.
You want to play some form of Top Spin? So go get yourself a 360. The darn thing has been out for over four years now. The price on the system is not that expensive and it's a great console with tons of top games and other features.
Like Rob said previously, don't drag this thing out, let the TS1 tour end in an honourable manner.

I said that we do not have to continue. LOL. I might have a reason to get an Xbox 360 now. LOL.

I am now training a lot of Top Spin 1 players for Top Spin 2. They seem to be turning down Dream Match Tennis quickly, for obvious reasons.

Rob has decided to discontinue all tours for the PC Top Spin 1 version. I think it is a nice way to end the year and tournament history for this sport. I hate to see it go too, but it is best this way.

Slicer and Rob were right all the long. 8)
