Best tennis game for ps4?

Is AO 2 any good? Got better reviews and the gameplay seems to have less slappy shots and play in no man's land.

Difficult to determine - via a gamer's opinion - if AO2 is any good as all the ITST console gamers have dearly departed.

I think we're the only two who survived the crash.

If the game is good at least a couple will come back. I speak to fedfan still sometimes.
I bought it today, as the last game I played was TS4 the controls are a bit different especially timing and serving. Some wierd animations. But optimistic ao far.

With all tennis games I'm hoping for great, but at this point, I'd settle for "fun." Fun typically equates to "popular" - and that's specifically what the ITST needs in order to host a tour.

Bit more of a qualified opinion -

This game is hard. Like very, very hard. The last game I played was TS4, and the timing mechanisms are completely different. The ball seems to lose a lot of pace on bouncing, and I realise to hit the shot way too early and hit it out most rallies. Also, the movement is automatic, so instead of moving my player, charging a shot and aiming as in TS, my man moves automatically, with the directions just to control the shot. However now I'm changing the natural angle of the shot doing that so I end up hitting down the middle. I have no idea what would happen if I turned the auto movement down from the default 99 to 0.
The timing is absolutely brutal. A little bit late or early, the ball is out or in the net. Serving is very tricky. I serve better totally ignoring the indicator and serving ala top spin 3.

It's a fun game and easily the best on ps4. It has a steep learning curve though. I took to TS3 very quickly and that was seen as off putting due to its difficulty, but this is much much harder.

I've never been good at any tennis game, so it would be impossible for me to judge.

I think it's perfect to be able to pick up and play competently quickly, but the nuanced and advanced skills in the game could take a lifetime to master. Ts3 was a bit like that.

That and there hasn't been a good console game (or tour) in so long, the ITST is now comprised of PC gamers - playing the Tennis Elbow game.

So the ITST isn't dead, the Xbox/PS tours are dead.

Hopefully AO Tennis 2 proves good/popular enough to bring back the console-playing crowd.
