Davis Cup Info/Rules

The event where it's not about the players, it's about the countries! Talk about the great Davis Cup here.

I did. I said it looks great on paper but thats only a paper. To make this work devs should double the roster and most of new players would probably not be much popular outside of single competition. Balancing 36 players is already tricky, double of that sounds like horror but if they do it kudos from me.

Did I say random? :? ...or that I will do it?

I believe I used the words "proximity" and "we". As in once we gather all players with no teams, WE as in all participants, will decide on the teams based on proximity - as in how close the country are to each other.

Patience, patience....

No news about the second idea for now.

Well, so far I don't have any information if the staff are thinking about accepting my idea. The 2nd plan can't be made for now, it needs more time. So only idea 1 can be realised so far. :)

So far I can't realised why 3 players minimum are required. Couldn't one of the player who is playing in singles to play the doubles match? So then 2 players are ok.

Yeah, that is kinda nonsence. For example, look at Czech team. Most matches were played with style
Štěpánek vs opponent
Berdych vs opponent
Štěpánek and Berdych vs opponents
Berdych vs opponent
Štěpánek vs opponent

And if I remember well, when we were playing vs Chille 2 years ago with Hájek and Minar, as Berdych and Štěpánek were injured, it was exactly same, just 2 players used
2012: Hopman Cup + Fed Cup + Davis cup

If you want to play Davis Cup but you don't have country mates, you go this link and post your name. Just follow the example of 2 great players. Here is the link.
