Roland Garros:
R16: vs Pablo Hernandez 6-2 6-2
I remember that he had really nice volleys, if he could do that consistently, he may be a champ in the future. The score was much tougher than it looked and was a nice challenge to start the tournament. I found my best level in the important moments and closed it out.
QF: vs Arvin97 6-3 7-5
Well, playing a defending champion is always a huge honor, even though he hasn't played much since. Because of that I was fairly confident, but I always knew that he was going to take the chances that were given to him. I remember being up 6-3 2-0 or 3-1, and he fought hard and tested my mentality on the court. I somehow was able to find the will to win this match and close it out in straights.
SF: vs YAINMaybank 6-2 7-5
Similar story to the last match except for him not being a defending champion, but instead being a player with amazing potential who was very focused in the 2nd set. Having lost to him in Rome, there was slight doubt, and that showed when I was winning routinely 6-2 4-3 break in the 2nd I think. He had a lot of will power and was able to push me to the limit in the 2nd set and almost force it to a 3rd.
F: vs AlexJasmins 7-6(5) 6-3
Well there was trash talking by him a few days before this match, so I decided to prove myself in the best time possible.

Wimbledon:
R16: vs Dreddy 6-2 3-6 6-4 6-4
A tough match that was definitely needed to show myself that I could pass a test after being nearly on the brink of defeat. He, playing the match of his life, played some outrageous points, and I was starting to lose concentration while he kept raising his level. I somehow was able to be clutch after being down 6-2 3-6 1-3 and was finally able to close out this roller coaster of a win.
QF: vs GOBI84 6-0 6-1 6-0
I think playing that match before in the r16 really helped me have the confidence to get through this one. THe matchup wasn't great for him, and he didn't produce his best level.
SF: vs BlackFenix 6-2 6-7 6-3 3-6 6-2
In one word: roller coaster. In many words, the match was going very routinely until I was somewhat distracted in the 2nd set for reasons that I won't discuss, but it put me off the whole entire match. I served for the 2nd set at 6-5, was up a break in the 4th at 3-2, and basically just used my experience to come through this one.
F: vs AlexJasmins 3-2 AD-40
Well, I decided to take the Simon route and play all defense to frustrate Alex, a tactic which has worked for me in the past, but I didn't think he would be that bothered. Sad way to win a GS final, but I was honestly happy that it ended after a short time.
Good luck to all of the opponents I have faced, and I wish you all the best.
On that note, I would like to thank the management for being absolutely amazing in listening to players, taking care of things, and just generally providing a great environment for we ITST players. This especially is not easy to do, and took me a while to gain this much respect in MG tour

Thank you everyone, and again all the best,
FEDERER2
