TE Doubles Tour and its Rules

Yes, this it, it's finally here!

Due to our personal experiences and the popular community belief there is now enough room in ITST for a TE Doubles Tour. No, it is not a 4 Human doubles tour, that functionality is simply not supported by Tennis Elbow. It will be a 1 Human + 1 AI Partner tour, and let me tell you, while it might not be as fun as 4 Humans play together, it comes very close to it in fun factor and actually allows the tour to succeed more so than 4 Human tour would. The reason? Simple, imagine 4 players with 4 different availability times attempting to arrange an ITST tournament match. Then imagine them doing it again in the next round, and in the next. Next week, next month and so on. While it "looks" to be very appealing and fun, the reality is that a proper tour with 4 humans is nearly impossible to manage and run successfully. It will be extremely slow, full of WOs and frustration.

So...what do we have here then, is a tour that is Doubles in game play, but Singles in participation. A hybrid of sorts. And I think it might just be a "good thing".

Rules for Doubles Tour

In addition to the Match Rules from the Singles Tour there are two additions specific to the Doubles Tour:

Level 13 Edberg and counting...

From now on, all Doubles Tournaments except Grand Slams, are played as Best of 3 Sets with Master Tie Break in deciding set. Take a look at this video to see how to set it up:
