Im saying dimitrov in 3, but if gulbis wins it better go 3 as well. I am expecting some big time shot making from these two. I hope I am not disappointed when I tune in

No sir, But it's common sense i have nothing against Gulbis. He's BH is amazing but i believe at this point in time Dimitrov is the better player, My opinion.

Better "prospect" with a better future - yes. Better player now (this season) - I disagree, it still remained to be seen.

Head to head is equal at this point. I would say that when Gulbis is "on", he is a better player than Dimitrov ever could be, in a way that he will brutalize you, hit you off the court, but unfortunately for Ernie, he cannot sustain the "on" level for too long. Lately he has been able to turn it "on" more frequently and a few times a match. In the past - it was a "switch" that only worked once. His game is just heavier that Dimitrov's, Bigger serve and serve game, arguable the best this season (or past few month). Yesterday - 100% 1st serve point won.

Dimitrov however is a more complete player, with better movement, more reliable strokes. Not as much "up and down" as with Gulbis.....which should earn him more titles and wins over time.

BTW - how about that Gubis/Raonic VS Federer/Wawrinka? Who will win this one? :)

Yes exactly! Gulbis just needs to maintain that "on' mode longer in matches. He beat Tsonga and Gasquet in the same tournament not too long ago so we know the man has potential he just has consistency issues. Also i think if Gulbis improved the FH just a little bit he would crush a lot of players. And he needs to trade more cross court FH more! to do that. If you take Bernard Tomic for example- He can rip winners against a lot of the top player but he needs more "power and control" and less "spin and curve" so i don't think Tomic will ever be a champion for that reason. And Dimitrov is like a younger version of Federer hence the "Baby Fed" so his style is very reliable in my opinion.

Gulbis/Raonic Vs Federer/Wawrinka? Hmmm…. I think Fed and Stan might win, they are great together but i look forward to that match. Who knows maybe Gulbis and Raonic might cause an upset :D

Done.

Yeah, I watched that match....Dolgo had the right plan and executed it. Rafa was not ready for it.

- High spin, no pace to Rafas BH, wait for the down the line attempt or a weak reply and take it early on the rise to FH side.

Rafa did not know what to do in this situation, he had no pace coming his way - so had to either:

- trade spins in BH to FH rally, which favors Dolgo
- create pace from BH - not something he is comfortable doing, again, favors Dolgo
- attempt to go down the line AND create pace, Dolgo would snatch it early and hit the flattest BH cross you seen :P

Great plan, well executed for the most part. Well done.

The first thing the umpire said to gulbis was "you look tired" when they met at the net for the coin flip. And looking at gulbis' face he does "look" a little tired. Is this a good or bad sign for gulbis?

You have that right, some of those backhands had no arc whatsoever just a missile coming from that side. Was a pretty fun match to watch.

I guess it was a good sign.

I hope they meet in Miami again, hopefully a bit later in the draw.
