ATP 2014 Surface/Tournament Changes.

I saw this article on Bleacher Report so I'm posting the important changes to the tour.

Acapulco is switching from clay to hard court surface. 2 ATP500 events before Indian Wells. Dubai and Acapulco. Murray and Isner signed up to it.

There is some new ATP500 tourney in Rio de Janeiro. Nadal and Ferrer is playing it. More prize money as well.

There is one week break for top 8 players after Paris Open until WTF in London.

In 2015 Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart Germany will switch to Grass surface.
There will be 3 week gap between RG and Wimbledon. So that's good.

There is also Nadal's suggestion playing WTF on some other surfaces.

Overall nice little changes to the whole ATP Men's Tennis.

Hard court is more attractive to a wider range of players. Valencia was changed from clay to indoors and moved to Fall. Madrid Masters was hardcourt before though but Clay is fitting for the biggest tournament in Spain and as a Masters 1000 it is a mandatory event anyway.

Next year, the ATP is incorporating a week-long break between the Paris Open and the year-end ATP World Finals.

About time.
