Last tournie with Nole as No.1 before a very long time probably !

Possible QFs :

- Nole vs Fed
- Nadal vs Waw/Raonic
- Delpo vs Berdych

Last QF isn't relevant since it's Ferrer (who meets Simon R16) vs Tsonga (who will fall to Youznhy 2nd round).
Gulbis is nowhere to be found and Gasquet has a pretty rough draw with Pospisil then Monfils then Fed then Djokovic ^^

Hope Delpo wins Tokyo vs that Canadian cheater!

Nadal and Federer have never won Beijing, well Federer never will. Murray has always been strong there.

Just read that Nalbandian retired. Literally got sick of being injured for half of his career.

Anyone noticed in federer/zhang doubles match.. Federer using a larger head size raquet with the same paint job as pro staff 90

He played great against Seppi.

Of course, Seppi sucks, so who cares

He didn't play great IMO, pretty much obvious lack of confidence with many ues especially in the 1st set but Seppi isn't a player who is going to rush you so he got away with it before Seppi messed up seriously losing 5 games in a row.

Basically his offensive gameplan is still there but i was partly worried in the beginning of the match, many unusual ues on the 2nd shot, fh or bh. But globally he defended well, and that should start to raise his confidence.

I'm really curious about his next round match vs Monfils who is playing really well so far, and more offensive than usual.

I was talking more about his shot-making more than his match-playing ability.

He hit a VINTAGE Federer down the line forehand to wrongfoot Seppi, that was simply awesome.

Then I think a couple points later he hit one of the most severe cross- court angled winner forehands I've ever seen.

Just the way he was striking the ball was pretty promising...he made a lot of UE's in the 1st set, but his good shots, he was timing very sweetly.

At the USO he still hit few tremendous shots, even vs Robredo he tried to play as fast as ever, but still today something is still not set well about his footwork, hence the numerous ues.

I'm not watching vs Monfils but he's already a set down...

Oh and Ferrer delightfully sinking vs Mayer, but he'll remain #3 at the end of season since Murray will lose many points, maybe Delpo can overtake him...

Well, Fed's out.

La Monf and his Afro proved to be too much.

I don't know where Federer goes from here... Think he needs to take a couple months or maybe a year off… I know he's not getting any younger but he looks and plays like he's mentally and physically tired.

He should retire before he falls out of the Top 10.

Speaking of confidence (or the lack of), Wawrinka is now 0-11 vs Nadal and 0-14 vs No. 1's.
