Blue Clay

I'm watching Falla vs Chela on this blue clay.

It looks a right mess. Scuffing all over it and the sound the playrers are making on it seem different and strange.
What do y'all think about it.

If you can see the ball better on TV, I'm all for it.

EDIT: I'm watching it now - I think it looks freakin' awesome.

I like red clay, but when we're talking about that RED clay in Paris, where you can see the ball perfectly well on TV, but in Spain due to our weather (too hot in summer, really dry weather) the red clay courts become into a red-yellow ones, and it's pretty difficult to see the matches on TV, unless the maintenance staff water the courts every 5-6 games, so YES the blue clay is a good thing in my opinion, at least for Spain...and Italy as well. Kohlschreiber vs Monfils tomorrow could be a good match.

Charleston.

Very close to an actual hardcourt. It's hideous.

Nahhh Gael got his number. He is faster, has more weapons. Unless Monfils completely unravels...

these are my must see.
Milos Raonic (CAN) v David Nalbandian (ARG)
Radek Stepanek (CZE) v Bernard Tomic (AUS)

In USA there are tons of green clay courts, lots of the indoor too. Whoever came up with these needs to be shot, on the blue clay, to make an example.

What next though Orange grass? Glass courts? Yellow Snow?

I agree it is easier 2 see the ball on T.V but we could already see the ball. The colour is nice but does'nt how messed up the court looks put any1 off.
I liked how Red clay players got dirty.

Ex Xavi. How does the Red clay react different in warmer dryer temperatures than when in framce for example.

Maybe I'm just a purist and don't like change, I don't know but I can say I'm not a fan of this YET. My thoughts might change after a week. Lets see how the court holds up with wear and tear.
