I was wondering how many of you have heard of this thing the usta started last year where they give a wildcard into the us open qualifiers for the winner of this playoff.

Anyone from any country 14 and older is allowed to enter this as long as there a usta member.

Have any itst members been bold enough to enter this? My region already played this last weekend and I didnt enter it.

Yes, actually my coach and good friend played in our regional qualifier last year and won it, but decided not to go because they didn't pay travel expenses into the national qualifier for the winners and he was able to in the same time period win over $1000 locally

He's going to do it again this year and go to Atlanta this time if he makes it.

I would never pay $135 to lose a match 6-0 6-0, but if I continue improving I may do it a few years down the road. I will probably be doing line umpiring for our regional qualifier this year

Wow thats awesome. Hopefully he wins it again.

My regional qualifer is so far away, it would probably cost me around $100 of gas for the whole trip. Then another $135 for the touranment
