Murray breezes thru

Garcia-Lopez didn't seem very interested at all.....all credit to Murray - easy 3 set win - 61 61 62 - 90 mins or so - very solid performance from Murray.

Hard to get excited about anything Murray does at a Slam -- cause you know, eventually, he's gonna choke. Something isn't wired properly in his brain.

Lol! Little harsh, no!? In fairness tho, he'd do well to win this year....potentially Soderling, Nadal and Fed to beat......

He still goes a little too percentage-play in the big matches....great player overall tho IMO ; )

C'mon Murray!!!!!!!!!

I reluctantly admit that he's a very good tennis player...you don't get to #2 by completely sucking. He's obviously doing some things right.

Still hate him though.

well, if he ever relocates to the U.S. you could invite him round for 'tea' (cawwwfeee...!?), 'cept use a payphone....and make it a really late-in-the-evening visit....

what happens next is between you, mr smith, mr wesson and the 911 operator....never know, if you get channel5news (the 'news' crowd that 'reported' that 35-min-wait-for-cops-thing) to cover it, you're safe as houses....?!

fewk...that could be misconstrued if something bad happens....

Fact/opinion, whatever, but I absolutely DO NOT WANT TO SEE MURRAY IN THE TITLE MATCH. I invest way too much time in the early rounds to be handed a three-set-suddenly-I-forgot-how-to-play-tennis final.

Beltic are you attempting to start political argument with americans, worst. idea. ever. You know they aren' restricted by facts, anyway don't think murray deserves own thread lol.

I think there has been less focus on him, which can only be a good thing for him.

Murray has a very difficult playing style to play against for some people, he is just too consistent from the back, Garcia Lopez or Marchenko were never going to hurt him and tbh I think such short easy matches are going to be a hindrance later on in the tournaments. You dont want to have to find yourself in your first hard/intense match of the tournament/year against Nadal/Federer
