a little unfair perhaps...!? Not a Roddick fan myself, but it takes more than a huge serve to achieve what he has, surely?

lol no i know its bite @ jay hows the rain by the way. lol my city almost flooded...lol

no offense but what has Andy really accomplished i mean he is not the worst but he surely has not lived up to his potential or what they made him out the be. I still remember in 2003 when he won the open he was great. where is that Andy. having a big serves is great but i guess it does not matter when thats all you are about or got going for yourself.

Not that hard to return his 1st serves, they're based only on his power, if you have a decent tecnique you could block "some" of his serves, i mean Federer's 1sr serve is much better than Roddick's and it would be much harder to return.
Hi second serve on the other hand is in my opinion the best one on the tour.
Roddick started being just a server but he's not anymore, complete player.
Great serve, decent FH and BH and a lot of experience.

PS: I love his new red babolat shoes

I think he has the best 2nd serve...of all time

Roddick's been in the top 10 now for almost 10 years. That's awesome, in my opinion. And he's been #1 in the world. And he's been a US Open Champion. And he probably boned Maria Sharapova.

More than you can say for most guys on tour, that's for sure. More than you can say for most people who ever play the game.

He is no way jsut serve. It takes A LOT more than just serve to be in top 10 and finish in top 8 for as long as he has. Also he got a fair amount of trophies lol.

If it was just his serve that got him there then isner and ivo should be up there.

People are way too harsh on andy, "didn't live up to potential". There really hasn't been a lot of chances for 'normal' players to win gs for awhile. There was 08 aus open and in 09 well del potro was not normal for that slam lol.

He's saying that for the past couple years, it's been the same couple of guys who are winning all the Slams, and Del Potro kind of broke the norm by winning one.
