Happy to see my first ATP

Postby andonirxb » Fri, 24 Sep 2010 12:53

I just bought tickets to see the Valencia Open. I am very happy because it is the first ATP tournament I see. Previously I had seen some exhibition tournaments but nothing comparable to this. I'm excited to see the return of Del Potro. There is an exceptional list of registered players: Murray, Soderling, Davydenko, Youhzny, Verdasco ... I will travel alone 700 km to Valencia and I want to see good tennis. I have tickets for the semifinals and final. I can't wait for it! :D

Never been to an ATP event, so good for you. Have fun!

I did see a Agassi/Lendl exhibition match way back when. Wasn't impressed as neither guy seemed to be trying. Pretty much paid top dollar to watch two guys practice. :|

How lucky you are! You did one of my childhood dreams: to see the great Ivan Lendl!

In that regard, yeah, it was very, very cool. So I'm glad I went. Wasn't really tennis though.

Thanx :D ! I really want to see him playing the final. I would like to see this final: Youhzny-Soderling. I think Youhzny is in good form.

It's not so easy. Tickets are incredibly expensive for the events nearby. It's not even really an option.

Tickets are not SO expensive here in France. For a day in Roland Garros during the first week with no central court, you have tickets from 22 Euros (27 Dollars), Maybe 55-60 for the central or the Langlen courts (plus all others)
Two evenings sessions at Paris Bercy Masters (thursday and friday) is more or less 45 Eur.
The two semi final ticket for the ATP 250 Open de Moselle happening this week is 25.
It IS some money but not that crazily exepensive imo
