The nicknames are copywrited. You must pay me an additional 100% for bringing up this idea.

I think this match is all about Kuznetsova. Everyone knows how Safina will play, hard hitting and standing a long way back. Kuznetsova has to stand up on the baseline and dictate as much as possible using her greater variety of shots.

Her finals records is pretty abysmal but I think she can do it as long as she is physically ok.

Kuznetnova is a better tennis player. She can actually hit a adequate volley. safina is one of these modern women hit like a tank players. Power is really all ses got, her movement etc is pretty lame

I am going to go with Dinara Safina. That girl is tough. Svetlana is too; yet, she is too mentally and emotionally unstable.

Actually, they both are, but I will give the edge for this intangible to Safina. She has a whole bunch of confidence (also she is #1)!! 8)

Okay okay. We will see. :)

I said that they both are emotionally and mentally unstable. However, I will give the intangible to Safina (only for the fact that she is number one). :)

Svetlana did not look like she can win this tournament, just looking in her eyes.

I could be wrong, we will see. :)

I think Safina has become more reliable in terms of her attitude on the court. I think the fact she has less options may help her if she gets tight, Svetlana seems to get her shot selection all wrong when she goes into panic whereas for Safina it's one way or no way.

Thank ya'! :)

Well said. Exactly what I believe. Let's hope that she will win her first grand slam final! :)

Oh, I believe that she is the only #1 player who have reached such ranking without ever winning a major in open era.

That is nice. Now, that she set that record, can she now win one?! 8)

Jelana Jankovic did it first.

Mauresmo and Clijsters both got to Number 1 before they won a slam.

I really hope Kuznetsova can beat Safina though, even though I think she deserves to be Number 1.
