There was every indication during that match that Verdasco had a 'live' chance of beating Rafa. I mean he took Nadal right to the brink that day, in what was the longest recorded match in Aussie Open history.
Go and watch it again, Verdasco definately had his chances that day. It was never cut and dried, no doubt about that.
