FABRICE SANTORO: It's always really difficult to compare generation. But when you look at McEnroe, was a genius on the court. What he was doing on the court was amazing. Uhm, but when you look at the matches, we were lucky to see in the past two years with Roger/Rafa, the big Grand Slam final we had, Wimbledon, here last year. When you look at Sampras. It's very tough to make a ranking.

But I will say that the best opponent I ever had is Federer. "

nice to hear..!

It must have been nice gift for him to live the 40 years of matches! That is very nice to see him play Federer. He entertained the crowds and even Federer on numberous occasions.

Dementieva, in one of her "inspired" moods. Isn't she supposed to be an OFFENSIVE type player, offensive players to not push short balls and be on the defensive 24/7 and offensive players know when to hit down the lines!! did any one see that set point Lena had!! She had a clear winner down the line but chose a cross court instead!! And if she would have won that set she prob would have won the match because of her fitness. If only the womens matches were best of 5 instead of best of 3 than Lena would win a major!!

I doubt they could fill a draw with women who could play best of 5 over 7 matches.

Dissapointing from Dementieva, I would have liked her to win, if only so Henin didn't have to face Kim in a potential QF. Also we have a Brit in the third round of the WS :P

Poor Dementieva. I hope she continues to peak in the hard court season this year.

Whats even worse is, that it wasn't a backhand down the line winner..it was a forehand DTL on set point. I have never EVER seen Lena play so passively, she was a pusher during this match. And pushing against Justine is just dumb, Justine isn't that erratic so she wont get THAT many U.E's but she will get the winners and no matter how good Lena is on the defense her biggest weapon her running forehand, could not be utilized due to the immense pushing Lena was doing. The only thing that can explain how Elena played today is nerves but after being on the tour for 10 years shouldn't she have learnt to control them. Unless Lena gets a REAL coach other than Mummy Vera I don't see how she can improve much. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

Well, Djokovic having a tough time out there against Chiudinelli. Lost 1st set 3-6.

Ivanovic... well, no words for that actually. Took the 1st set in a tiebreak, and now literally tossing the ball 3 times before actually hitting it...

The good thing about women's tennis is that it makes me feel much more confident about my own serve...
