I'm just gonna...SMACK this forehand short crosscourt on the service line for a winner!... EAT IT FED!!! ::massive fist pump and stare down:: ...) I mean he TOOK it to Fed...and said BEAT ME @&*#$!!!!!!  :devil

...uuuhmmmm gee what can be said about this match... I'm kinda glad I didn't see it... but here's the aussie open website's description of it...

"Having conquered [I would have said thrashed...but hey...]defending champion Roger Federer in the semifinal, he resolutely defended every point against the hapless Murray, cheered on by compatriot Ana Ivanovic[meowww ] in the Djokovic player box. Restrained throughout the match, the gladiatorial [great word...] Serb cleaned up the final in two hours and 39 minutes [:yikes]. As Murray dumped a final forehand into the net - his 47th unforced error for the match - Djokovic raised his arms in the air, greeted his entourage and flung his shirt and shoes into the crowd."[/i]

Or 1 and a half before Nadal tore a muscle on his other leg?

Murray didn't even look arsed this year, it was just like yeah he didn't miss so I lost, end of. I can't believe how tired he looked aswell considering his run through.

I DVR-ed this since it was on at 4AM. Is it even worth watching? Parts of it? Any of it?

I reckon 23 is a prime age for a tennis player, and this may prove to be as good as it's ever going to get for Murray. This was his big chance and he just wasn't up to the task. His side of the draw opened up great for him but he's just not good enough to take that final step in a Slam.

Good news for him in a way is that there have been other players who have lost 3-4 Slam finals before winning one.
Bad news is that never in the Open Era has a Slam finalist lost their first three finals without winning a single set.

In Grand Slam terms it could end up being that Murray may go down only as a more successful version of Tim Henman, with Slam Final defeats replacing semi-finals. It's still early days yet I guess, but the manner of his defeat today hardly suggests that he's moving in the right direction to one day win one of these majors.

On the positive side, he is a very successful athlete who represents a region who are crap at tennis and has become a top five player. That's a real achievement so maybe we shouldn't give him too much grief.
