It´s curious... i don´t understand why Rafa keeps saying good things about this guy, he doesn´t deserve all that good words.
If it´s that easy i wanna watch how you winning Roland Garros again Mr Federer

PS: I´m not referring to him as a tennis player but as a person

Sry but i disagree Xavi.

He says Rafa is an exception and does very well on other courts. But remember many of the great claycourter (Muster, Bruguera, Kuerten) did never very well outside the claycourts.

Muster and Bruguera were runner s with huge baseline strokes, but they had terrible service and volley, and were still able to dominate on clay.

Federer just points out you need other weapons on clay than any other courts, and that s right.

nothing to be sorry about you have your point of view and i have mine ...and with his comments he demerits the guys who play well on clay courts, when the truth is that to play well on hard courts like him you just need a good serve and good FH and a cheesy short slice return (in his case).
Federer without his serve would be a top 20, what he has to do is shut up and avoid that kind of comments.
I haven´t listened to anyone " Playing on hard courts is easy, you just need a good serve", and again if it´s that easy why Sampras (one of the greatest) didn´t do anything on clay?.....well anyway forget it... i´m pissed off and i probably overreacted cause he´s no saint of my book

I dont get Federers comments, you need a good serve on clay, just because you dont get cheap points on it doesnt mean its surplus to requirement. Clay is all about opening up the court, and that is much easier with effective serving. If Fed just rolled in a serve everyone would be drilling returns to his backhand and he'd struggle to win at all.

Gasquet winning is bad news for Murray, I was surprised Verdasco choose to play this event though given all the matches he has had.

I was able to watch the match (at work) and saw from end of 2nd :
6-3,5-4 Gasquet to serve...Gasquet was really outplaying Verdasco (when he broke him at 4-4) and then...He lost 6 points in a raw on his serves! --
I had to go working ( :( what kind of world is this!! lol) at 3-1 for Verdasco in the 3rd,Gasquet to serve (if i remember right)...When Gasquet was always showing he was over "i can't take it anymore!...I'm done!"...He called a 3 min doc' ...and again a quick doc' (Just before eating that 3-1)...
When i was able to watch the match again,it was 4-5,Gasquet to serve! --
And commentators were talking about the fact that Verdasco clashed with the crew and lost his tennis... (and also saying that honestly it was the same everywhere in the world except in Wimby where it's more traditionnal and respectful- Julien Boutter was one of the journalist and is quite fair generally)
And indeed Verdasco was swearing a lot (In spanish and in english lol )
It was a high level match (phisycally, very hot conditions) and technically Verdasco had some troubles to be precise = big direct faults!...While Gasquet was able to hold (a bit) Ver' Forehands...On key points Gasquet was really clever (cause he was off physically, more than Ver,who was tired too) and very clutchy! That's very new from him!!!He won thx to his mental, when he was supposed to eat a final 6-1!!!
He won by sending back a great Fh attack to his Bh,he shortsliced it back (lol) after running (and sliding) ,and Ver made a direct fault...
Important win for Gasquet i think!I saw some very impressive Forehands shots (but also a lot in the net :P ) and returns (new from him),his serve is now very effective (or "impressive" ,i don't know) ,it's now a weapon, and he shew some nice and strong offensive play (S&V)!! his brilliant Bh is back!!
but he lost almost every rallies he was involved to...Maybe cause he still plays so far away from baseline...
And I fear that thx to this match,Gasquet will be crushed by The Mutant at the French...Where it's 5 sets matchs...

How long was the match? Gasquet complained of tiredness and knee pain after, not great when your a day off playing Murray in best of 5 sets.

They should have no.1 play on first day. Or 2nd but it should start with a few big players as they would generally not play a tournament just before gs anyway.

Dammit! why they are not showing Gulbis I dunno. They should cancel WTA, now! Just freaking kill the tour and let the girls play Exos with no clothes on.
