As dutchie i would like to bring in Haase. I agree he isnt of the level of Murray, Monaco or Gasquet etc yet but he has made some upsets already and should be named among the Tsonga's of the world. In my opinion ofcourse.

My bad. I edited that sentence when i posted it and i guess i got lost in translation somewhere along the way.

Anyway, he was losing finalist in US Youth Open of 2005 and he recently broke into the top 100. He also recently beat Berdych in Montreal and took sets of safin and baghdatis

Hehe I don't really know if the fact that he won sets vs Safin and Marcos supports your claim pal  Especially Marcos has become a **** joke as of late, he **** lost 2-6 2-6 against SEPPI today, on **** carpet :x

I've seen Haase play a couple of times, his serve is a big weapon, he has good groundies, hits his shots rather flat. His problem is, as you'd expect, inconsistency. He also needs to get a little craftier, the guy is 1,90 tall but just around 70 kg :?

He definitely has the potential to become a force, not so much on slower clay courts of course.

PS Robin Haase (NED) d. Agustin Calleri (ARG) 4-6 6-3 6-3 VIENNA R 32

I am sure he will win some more matches. Otherwise he won't be in the Top 200 soon.

Yeah hmm tough to say...he's a very decent player on clay and has improved on the other surfaces...he'll turn 24 next week and I don't know, when you watch him move on the court you always think that he's kinda limited and just not an outstanding player, compared to most of the players in our little poll here. Those are mostly a lot younger than him, have some special skill or just more overall talent.

That's my impression at least but yeah Kohli worked his way up the rankings, he's 33 atm, maybe he'll make the top 20.

I saw Stanislav Wawrinka playing in the Davis Cup meeting against Holland a few years ago and i really liked the way he played. I hope/think he will break through.

I must add i know little about tennis so its more a feeling i have then any knowledge whatsoever.

yeah, my headword.....mister kohlschreiber and all the other german wanna-be upcoming superstars.

i must say, i'm really fed up with this. pahel is right, when he says there are many younger tanlented players.
kohli is 23, florian mayer 24, petschner 23.......and people all around just telling: "they are on a good way!!" that's so typical for germans. i can't listen to that any longer.

sampras, becker, agassi, federer..............already have won gs's with that age.

but ok, they are all on a good way...looooool....like nicolas kiefer, with 30 still on his way. in my eyes kiefer is the biggest total dead loss of all germans ever. not coz of his tennis, he reached some good results for sure, but for his words: "i'm on my way, i trained hard, just a question of time to win big tnt's for me" just ridiculous. this guy always was far away from any reality. he wasn't able appraising himself all the time. he tried so many comebacks, always saying that he plays his best tennis right now. then he plays a very good beginning of a tnt just to lose then vs any beatable player. sadly that he wasn't able to improve his mental power. kiefer is the master of inconstancy. just words no doings.

and now kohli.....for sure a very tanlented player, but for me it seems like always with german newcomers, if they lose a match, which they must not lose....no worries....german daddies arround will cherish them. just saying they tried their best in this match. that's too easy...no improving possible.
just for example, after henin had lost her semi final in wimbledon this year, carlos rodriguez was angry. angry, coz that must not happen to a number one. and i'm sure, it won't happen henin once again. she learns and improves and wins!!!!!!!

kohlschreiber also has a problematic moving style on the forehand side, which is more unforgivingly for unforced errors. but the main thing is, he doesn't know that. on a bad day he makes 70 unforced errors, but he isn't able to change his game just a bit. i hope you understand what i mean.
look, if hewitt, davydenko, roddick, federer, nadal or djokovic are down in a match, you often feel, ahhh, they just need a highlight or better a waking up rally. from then on they are able to find a solution to compensate their bad game before.

this talent kohli and other german player don't have, sadly. and that is a real weakness......but ok, they are still young and on their good way. ahhhhhhh

just for example djokovic.....you simply know, without any doubt, that this guy will be the upcoming superstar....do you have same feeling with kohli who is 3 years older.....lol noway!!

Yep. I like Bagi a lot. He seems to get the crowds involved in his matches.

Right now, he probably should worry more about his game for that! 8)

I've watched Wawrinka play a few times, and he's seriously talented. It's probably just a matter of time.

Yep. I was like, "ah Wawrinka . . . he is a noob!" Stop and rewind that statement. This guy is well rounded on court. He can do any thing. He certainly impressed me when he played at the Open.
