Anyone know: Why did they schedule the final for a Monday?

Anyway, Fudgerer or Tipsy? EDIT: I guess I forgot what Federer was like indoors.

I think this says it all when it comes to Andrew Castle as a tennis-player/commentator :D

I'm not sure why. I think this is the first year they started it on the Monday rather than the Sunday. :?

It's ridiculous how Pre-Federer Becker is. Awful voice and comments, I ****ing hate that guy as a commentator.

BTW 2 set points saved by Nole on Fed serve.

What a great match point.

We're in August, and Djoko and Rafa are already sure to be int the WTF 2013 !

Does it show that there is a huge gap between the top players and... the others ? Can't remember how it was durin Sampras, Muster, Courier, Becker, or McEnroe eras...

And 6 places left to give... Who ? I'm pretty sure for :

-Murray
-Delpotro
-Federer (No, no... No fear, no...)
-Ferrer
-Berdych

But for the 1 left... I just don't know !
-Raonic ? (Hi Djarvik ! Remember our bet ? :P)
-Tsonga ?
-Haas ? (That would be a incredible thing to me !)
-Gasquet ?
-Wavrinka ?

Tsonga definitely, I'm sure he'll be fresh enough to take advantage of some big names tired after USO or tired to be defeated more than usual (Djokovic  ).

By the way, Nole's season is very disappointing to me, except for the AO (where he was close to the exit in R16) and MC (many reasons to think now the Rafa wasn't absolutely 100% there), he lost so many times to underdogs, maybe not as mentally competitive as he used to the last couple seasons.

True that Tsonga will be more "fresh" than the others after the USO. I already forgot he was off for that USO ! ^^ I guess he'll try to win the last big tourneys of the year (as usual more or less, because there is Bercy and a ticket for the WTF) and win a lot of points the others won't (like Rafa, who doesn't like this end of season... He never won the WTF by the way).

It was long ago ! ^^
You were like "Raonic top 15-10 at the end of the year" (it was at his beginnings)
me : "No way !" (influenced by a discussion I had with Grosjean... Yes... My former job had its cool time ^^).
There came the bet.
It was a funny bet where I was able to quote this discussion anywhere I wanted on the forum or something like that.
I won... :D

Very interesting end of season for the race with 4 players for 3 last spots in 95 points : Wawrinka, Federer, Gasquet and Tsonga. Tsonga is playing pretty far from his best level and won't play next week but he'll have the advantage to be more fresh and 8th seed at Bercy (unless Gasquet gets to play well again in Basel but he will probably be very tired and meets Delpo in QF) where QF could be enough to overtake Gasquet.

I'd say the 2 Swiss are fine and Raonic too far already.

Tsonga and Fed desperately need the WTF if they want to stay competitive and not fall further rank 8 next season.

With his win in Moscow Gasquet has overtaken Tsonga. Now Rank 7-11 are only separated by 95 points and there's still a Masters coming up. Federer still needs to defend 300 points from Basel.
