If Raonic manages to stay within the Top 16, he won't face a top player before the R16 in a Slam and then he could be good for an upset to reach his first QF. Unless his opponent is Djokovic. He just has to stay focused for 4-5 sets. A big breakthrough would be a SF or a Masters final.
He just had a chance, at Cincy, up a set against Wawrinka, lost 26 76(5) 64. And it was the 3rd 500 final for him, never won a single one before.
First time he lost to Roddick in Memphis, and it's ok. But then, another loss in Memphis by Melzer and today against Nishikori.
If you want to be, and to stay, a top ten, you have to start winning these matches at least.
