Great win by Nishi though, it's always nice to see an underdog winning in front of his home crowd.

If Raonic manages to stay within the Top 16, he won't face a top player before the R16 in a Slam and then he could be good for an upset to reach his first QF. Unless his opponent is Djokovic. He just has to stay focused for 4-5 sets. A big breakthrough would be a SF or a Masters final.

He just had a chance, at Cincy, up a set against Wawrinka, lost 26 76(5) 64. And it was the 3rd 500 final for him, never won a single one before.
First time he lost to Roddick in Memphis, and it's ok. But then, another loss in Memphis by Melzer and today against Nishikori.

If you want to be, and to stay, a top ten, you have to start winning these matches at least.

Top 4 seeds are in the Shanghai semi.

Nole- Murray in the final. Both looked strong, especially on returns. 50-50 for me.

Nole saves 5 match points to win in 3 sets. :D

"Filo" is such a good-to-watch player. I watched one of his matches live here in the city I live, it was a challenger.
He is one you would define a "classic" tennis player, one handed backand (his best shot so far), variations, excellent playing around the net.

He has only one weak point: service. I think I'm not wrong if I say there are female players who serve faster than him
But he got some sort of problem at the knees. I think it's lack of cartilage, or something similar, that forbids him to serve like he wants.

And that's a shame, cause he is a really complete player.
