Very dissapointing from Ivanovic though, she threatens to be the next Hantuchova, even though she didn't win a slam she was a Top 5 player being touted as the next big thing and has ended up being a 15-30 player at best.

Hantuchova at best is a 15- 30 player?? :weirdo

The reason her ranked has lowered from No.8 at 2008 was because she had a stress fracture on her foot that took her out of the game for some time, but her form is slowly coming back though. She isn't the most mentally strong player out there but at her best she is definitely one of the biggest forces to be reckoned with on tour. Minus the choking.

That right here, applies to 90 out of top 100 WS players

It wasn't meant to be an insult (maybe 10-15 was more apt) but she has only won 3-4 titles on tour, her record against Top 10 players isn't great (although I haven't checked that so I could be wrong). She certainly hasn't been a permanent resident of the Top 10. Her strokes are great but I think her lack of natural speed and defense has ultimately hurt her, as it seems to for Ivanovic.

I actually think tennis would be easier if you didn't have a brain. Davydenko pretty much plays without use of his brain, and he does fantastic.

Sad but true. Unreal to see Berdych play such fantastic tennis a set and a half, and then: Total meltdown.
Waste of talent.. :?

I don't want to start a thread about this, but...has anybody watched the Hopman Cup mixed doubles finals (GBR vs ESP)?? Laura Robson just hit a 95 mph forehand winner!! Why does she moonball and counterpunch so much in singles (from what I've seen of her)??

I've seen some of this, she didn't look like she had progressed much since winning the girls titles at Wimbledon but she has potential.

Was surprised Murray lost to Robredo after winning first set 6-1, he really should be knocking players like him off in straight sets.

Great first game in the Henin-Clijsters match, looks like it could be a good one.

Spains wins... honestly don´t know anything about that Hopman Cup, why was a España vs Great Britain "battle"?, they went through several rounds like in the Davis Cup to get there and play the final? or what?

Round robin, then the winners of each group play final.

THey both played eound robin matches previously. The each finished top of their group to play each other in the final.

It was strange because in all the previous matches, murray won, robson lost and they won the doubles. In the final robson won, murray lost and they lost the doubles
