i have to say....i have lost a little bit of respect for andre....this is totally wrong on his part to be coming out with all this stuff....he should have kept some of it to himself.......he said he hated tennis and did not like playing the sport, but kept playing and is still trying to make money off the sport he hates

I would hang upside down and scrape feces out of portopotties for 1-5 hours a day if it meant I was going to make between $10,000-1,000,000 per session.

On 60 Minutes last night, he said he did meth for the better part of a year - not just one time. And he played tennis, even though he hated it, because it was his job. I hate my job sometimes, and I only do it for the money. What else am I supposed to do?

Honestly though, I don't think this will affect his status in the history of tennis. It's just fresh in everyone's mind at the moment. In a few years, you'll see an old Agassi match and not even think about it.

To sell books. Simple. Lots of money or not, don't kid yourself, he is "selling" a book. You don't stop working or doing business just because you already have "money". By that logic, why Fedderer is signing with Nike? ....he has money. Or Rolex.

Your probably right djarvik. I was thinking that maybe somebody knew he used crystal meth and they were going to expose so he decided to go and ahead and get it out in the open.

Just a thought

I was thinking that. I think it will all blow over by the new year, Andre is still be far one of the most interesting and natural of all the ex-professionals.

I wish someone would find something on Martina, she needs bringing down a peg or ten.

I gotta disagree here, his books would sell anyway, and there are other things in the book that would really help it sell(like the hating tennis bit), so if he is guarenteed to make loads of money anyway, i dont see andre potentially ruining his reputation for a few more $

Yea. I cannot put this together. I was thinking that he is doing this for publicity and nothing else?

Then again, he has been with Mr. Villa. Perhaps, he is just reflecting on his life and just wants all to know that he is not perfect either (after most thought he lived a mentor's life course)?!

I guess he did not want to be hypocritical. I can live with that, if that was his purpose.

Possible, but unlikely. If somebody had some dirt like this on AA and wanted to make him (or the media) pay for it, this somebody would have been out making noise a long time ago. This book didn´t write itself overnight.
