well zvonareva pulled out of the tournament after the wozniacki match. So the girl that replaces safina, will now be replaced by Radwanska who has no chance of advancing

Zvonareva needs some serious help. I keep thinking I'm watching replays of old matches whenever I watch her....seems like she breaks down (no actually 'melts down' is more fitting) in every single match against a top player...how many times have we seen her patented "collapse on the ground and hit thighs with racquet" maneuver??? Or the epic "Crying during a rally" tactic?? Legendary stuff, must really instill The Fear Of God into her opponents, no doubt....

Azarenka looks injured now.

Jankovic might fancy her chances now because she may well be the fittest and definately the freshest out of the four who are left.

The Williams sisters are playing doubles aswell this weekend.

I still can't believe the ATP Tour still has nearly a full month to run, it is ridiculous.

Venus V Jankovic

Apparently Wozniaki was only serving about 70mph today, Serena will be teeing off if that is the case and I can only see an easy win for her.

The other is all up to Venus and her errors, Jankovic will have to find her best form and keep plugging away at Venus and try and edge a win.

Venus will now blitz Jankovic since shes got a second chance at winning the title... and she will beat Serena in the final...

Serena playing poorly, she is struggling to hold serve.

Hang on Wozniaki retires. I think in the long run she has done the right thing, she could have done herself serious long term damage but she gave herself a chance.

didn't expect venus in the final...she has been very lucky in this tournament...
all players got injuried...safina,azarenka,wozniacki,zvonareva,serena...
she won 1 match in round robin.she won in semifinal against jankovic(that has reached semi only thanks to other player injury).
now i think she will win thx to serena's problems...
