btw I really want to see Jerzy win the championship. I really really like his style, he reminds me of Marat Safin a bit. Extreme power and strength with good feel. His serve is absolutely brutal.

Watching Sloan Stephens/Bartoli and there's something just so...utterly ridiculous about Marion Bartoli. The way she bounces around in the exact same way before a point, the power-robbing way she totally stops her racquet motion in the middle of her serve, her both hands in both sides groundstrokes, the silly drills she does with her dad, the fact that she can't hit a volley for shit, the weird way she stands just prior to serving...8 BREAKS OF SERVICE IN A ROW, this is why I hardly ever watch the girls!!!

By far, not even close, Marion Bartoli is my least favorite WTA player. For the reasons Jaylove listed above, I can't even watch her play, regardless of her opponent.

Nole Delpo Semifinal

I have not seen Kubot playing so far but by several accounts he has a solid S&V game. Still want Jerzy to win, thrilled by hos finesse and power. He will give Murray problems, should both players advance.

While I have no doubt ey are physically fit, for all the exercise they do why are some wta players (eg Bartoli) kind of chunky looking? Is it genetic or just bad eating habits etc? Bear in mind barely any of the men apart from nalbandian look this way

Women generally have higher body fat, but in her case I would say it is a bit of both, genetics and eating habits. I will join Paul and Jay, cannot stand watching her....not sure why. She should play doubles with the Mutant.

I agree, Jano will be a tough match for Murray should they both get through. He'd be a lot more comfortable playing an S&V player like Kubot.

A while back she took the weight off (after her wimbeldon finals appearance) to look like the other wta women, but her and her dad said she lost too much power so they decided she was better with the extra weight. And im guessing the speed increase was not very significant. Kinda wierd, but she is capable of taking the weight off. Unlike Nalbandian its not laziness, its weirdness  .

lol I hate that guy, man.

I don't get how people like him have the jobs they have. He's devoid of any actual personality...and while he's certainly better than the average person at tennis, as a pro he was TERRIBLE!!!!!!

It's like Andrew Castle. Both are commentators and presenters who somehow get a job. They still seem to be decent players though.

I think it is mostly genetic. Plus, they will be a bit chunkier because of the muscle they have to get power. They are like somewhere in between marathon runners and discus/shot putt throwers, or a mix of the two. That seems to be the range that tennis players, on the female side of things, anyway. The skinnier ones tend to counter-punch, and the meatier ones tend to just... punch.

EDIT: Janowicz looking strong. Very strong.
