I think Fed will get to 2 more slam finals, maybe another Wimby and a USO. But to win, not sure. Can never count him out though. He even seemed to lack power today off the ground. But Stakovsky played the match of his life today. His serving won him the match and even if he can replicate that, some of his volleys defied belief for a player of his standard (no offence) and are such a low percentage play i doubt he could sustain it. If he was 20 and ranked this low i would say wow, new SV superstar maybe but i'm thinking more a rise to the occasion take chances flash in the pan.

The BBC website said he SV'ed 110 times in the match, the last time i saw anyone do that against decent opposition and actually win (before Brown-Hewitt just before) was probably LLodra over Berdych in 2010, Haas in 2009 over Cilic and Ancic 2008 over Verdasco. That's how rare it is, you might have a Mahut or Stepanek reach round 4 but they won't beat anyone of real note while doing it.

Mostly right - to say Murray won't win another is ludicrous though lol!

I believe this was the craziest first few days I've ever seen at Wimbledon. Top seeds going out early, everyone falling, and so many injuries....

And who saw the point where Tsonga had a total brain cramp against Gulbis? 15-30, 3-5 second set, Gulbis is on the ground, and Tsonga hits the ball back to him, giving Gulbis 2 set points. :weirdo

Tbh I don't think federer played bad.. He was playing fine, serving well.. His forehand at break points didn't work in the 2nd as well as in 3rd set.. And again at set point in 4th set stackhovsk defended federer's backhand cross court really well.. His volleying was incredible and was serving awesome but again this was only a one match display of what Rosol did last year.. He won't be able to pass the next round

Man I was saying this EXACT same thing to my girlfriend probably around the same time you posted this :p lol weird.

For the record she is into tennis!!! You know I couldn't be with somebody who didn't share my love of the game.

In her words, Federer's performance against Stakhovsk was 'pathetic' hahaha...she is a big Fed fan like myself but I have yet to watch the match, in fact I am beginning it on my DVR as I type this...she said she's not even going to watch the rest of Wimbledon because everybody she cares about is out, and SHE HATES 'THE MUTANT', my friends!!!!!!!

I mean it was close. Fed won 162 point to Stakovsky 163. But at the big moments he couldn't come up with the shots

Hmm I don't think Fed is playing that bad Stakhovsky is just playing really well. Fed has no idea where Stakhovsky is going with the 2nd volley.

Yeah, that point was silly. It was a good point up until that shot. Glad he got punished for such a retarded shot.

I think it was the dumbest shot I've ever seen by a professional tennis player. Save that shit for exos - this is Wimbledon dumb-ass.

That shot from Tsonga is just one more reason I can't back that guy....it's always like he just wants to put on a 'show', hitting totally unnecessary shots. You know what's a good show??? A guy who does whatever it takes to win and takes it seriously.

Another guy who is guilty of that BS is Monfils. I don't really find that style 'exciting', its more just, as Vieira put it, retarded.

Monf often strikes me as some guy who wanted to do something else but somehow ended up playing tennis. He is probably the worst player in the Top 100 to turn matches because he normally loses interest after trailing and then ends up putting on a show.

Gulbis has recently taken a more serious approach and it shows. He doesn't need it, at least financially but he should do his own thing.
