Well, Robredo did so

Good point. Still, this title was his to lose but hopefully it's just another part of the learning- and maturing process.

Yep. Game-wise, I do not think Blake is mature on the court.

This is not about Blake, unless I'm missing something

Nah guys. Even though the post is about new-upcomers, I was homing on Pahel's comment. I think that whether you are an upcomer or not, if you do not have a maturity or the ability to think the shots out on court, I think you will never break the barrier in the rankings or maintain his or her ranking.

Blake has been an upcoming player but cannot maintain his level of performance.
The other one has to step it up to reach the top 10 like Blake. Once Murray gets there, I am sure that he can maintain it. If he cannot, I know more and likely it will be because of his future injuries.

He just about beat Davydenko and played a solid match in the third round of the US Open, losing in four sets. Sure he has work to do, but he has a lot of natural ability and unfocused tennis smarts, and he's only 18. He will be cracking the top 100 early next year and playing in a lot more of the tour-level tournaments, so I think he's going to start improving greatly. He just had a slight barrier he had to get past in his development by winning a tour-level match, and now he's really starting to play a lot better. He was a runner-up in a challenger event a week and a half ago...
