Roddick didn't play a bad match, even if he was a little bit too defensive, whereas Wawrinka realised one of the best matches of his career. Too bad for Andy, who have a great panel of shots now, but Stan is on a cosmic form these days. Federer can be worried about it.

...and played a very respectable final against Federer in 2009 (although he did have a Murray moment at the end...CHOKE)

for Roddick to win he needs to run around and hit forehands especially the inside out forehand....his backhand is just too weak even though it has improved its always short in the court to where his opponent jumps on that short ball and he is immediately on the defensive....thats why he slices a lot to get it at least somewhat deep...he must be more offensive minded....i would say he is even more defensive than Murray at this moment

Ditto. I think that is why he has been coming in on the backhand slice a bit. I think he should play as an attacker! I totally agree with you. I hope he turns on the offensive switch real soon.

It is impressive that he has been in the top 10 for like ages! :)
