Talk about anything related to the ATP and WTA tours.

B O R G ! ! !

If one would say that Federer or Nadal is of the level of the likes as Borg, Sampras and Agassi the other guys in the top 10 should be as good as the players those legends faced as well.

If both top 10's are not of a similar level Federer and Nadal are either not living up to their potential or crap compared to the older guys in this list.

Borg is the greatest.

Below are active ATP players' overall records versus top 10 opponents:

► Kriek deserves the over-overachiever award. He possesses an anemic 23% win percentage over top 10 opponents while also winning 2 GS titles!

Who?! What?!

I am definitely going to look this guy up. I got to see how he did this. 8)

Okay. It seems he played well on grass. He looks to have been pretty decent in doubles too.

Nice Down Under trophies to have. I see he had to play the same American in the final again on his second successful trip to the Australian Open of '82.

Johan Kriek was one of the top players to come out of South Africa.
But we have to put his 2 slam wins in perspective in that the Aussie Open at that time was hardly the tournament it is now.
The top players used to routinely skip the event, as is evidenced by the fact that Kriek won his two titles there over a guy that probably wasn't a household name in his own household.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying Kriek was not a good player. He was. Just pointing out that he had the good fortune to be in the right place at the right time.

From a South African perspective, although it hardly looks that way in the record books, I'd say what Kevin Curren did at Wimby in '85 was far more impressive than Krieks achievements in Australia.

Okay. Thanks.

It's cool to be on that list though. :P He also did it back-to-back ('81 and '82 was it)?

Ah, who cares!? It was interesting to research this guy though. He is South African in blood but American in heart.
