well I must not be the only person who thinks Roddick has a chance since some people picked Roddick to win in the poll. I think Roddick has a really good shot to beat Federer. If Roddick can serve as good as he did today, Federer better watch out.

Do remember what Federer did to Karlovic's serve.

He seems to punish the hard servers

When there are only 2 people on the court of course he has a chance, but it is slim. I think he should just believe in his ability to rally and not go crazy on the court, that was the most surprising thing today, just how well he did in the baseline exchanges.

Fed however has the option to attack the front court and force Roddick to pass under pressure, he can dictate with the forehand and the slice and dominate the rally and he can read the Roddick serve. I just can't see Roddick having enough over 5 sets with Federer.

Roddick doesnt like the low balls, so feds slice backhand will work into that nicely

Guys, let's just not underestimate Roddick. Come on, we should all agree that Roddick's backhand is a total new shot for him. He is confident now on this side and doesn't run away to hit with his fh anymore. He had like 12-13 bh winners against Murray! I also remarked his amazing half volleys and his S&V. Anyways, i just hope he won't panic in the final.

I'm not underestimating Roddick, he has the tools to win but I just think it is out of his hands. If Federer plays well I don't think Andy can stop him, if he is a little off then he can take advantage.

I honestly thought that if it was murray who would have won, Fed would have been in more trouble. Because at least he holds a winning percentage over Roddick.

But of course you cant count roddick out, he played a great math verse murray and if he could keep that up, then yes it would be close, but i do think Fed will win.

One thing is for certain, this will be a much better match than if murray would have won. A good final, wouldnt be every ball to fed's backhand

Roddick doesn't have anything to loose. I don't see why he didn't try anything against Federer. He won't be nervous, or so i hope. On the other side, Fed can't be stressed either. He won RG, he's playing the tennis he played in his best years, he is going to have a baby, Nadal is out, so... these will make it a pretty interesting final. BTW, Fed's bh is back and Nadal is gone, so no need to talk about this.

roddick can win, just. fed seems to block his serve back, if roddick Sv's well against that then he'l have success. Also his groundstrokes are much more consistent. but fed i think will be too good.

If Roddick can play the way he did today, Federer needs to watch out. Federer still has a little pressure even though he has alot of time to get that 15th slam theres still pressure.

Theres something different about Roddick, this seems to be a new Roddick he seems to believe again. If it wasnt for that 2-18 record i would think that Roddick matches up better against Federer than he would against Murray but because of that 2-18 record he might not have that belief

(A little off subject) I love mostly how everyone here, early in the year wrote off Federer and were questioning if he would ever win another Slam, then he beats Nadal in Madraid then everyone instanly jumps back on the Federer bandwagon.
