Hope not, and hoping Fed can bag himself another major this year at Wimbledon.

He doesn't need it but his politeness makes evidence the poor politeness of the crowd even. He is unique and makes his way outside the other, so has won its 10th GS.

Anyway, I'm getting angry so I stop, congratz' Nadal.

Me too...
And two sentences are too much for that crowd.

I know people can get sick of the same player winning every year but you'd think Rafa would be more loved that he is as RG. I mean after all the winning Federer has done the majority of people still want him to win even at Wimbledon and USO where he has dominated.

People wanted to see Federer beat Sampras GS record, I think the majority do not want to see Rafa break it.

i understand but for example at Wimbledon you won't see that, am i right or not?, they support Rafa and support Federer, but anyway what i said is that the crowd did not help him to win the title or support him or anything so why? say the typical "thank you blabla"??

He shouldn't play there again until he is in his 30's, make them see what they are missing and when he goes back on his zimmer frame they will absolutely be rooting for him 100%.

But maybe I'm a bit harsch, maybe .. ^^

Yep you're right fedfan

His (Rafa) favourite GS is Wimbledon.

The crowd weren't against Rafa they just weren't for him. I think Roger lost the match rather than Rafa winning it, this had Wimbledon 08 all over it! It should have been Roger knocking the king of clay off the top in a 5 set thriller. I don't think Rafa will be winning any other majors this year Maybe we will be having 3 or 4 different winners this year ; ) - really really glad the clay court season has finished!!!

@NeoPerseo - He said many many times over years that RG is his favourite.. At French TV I mean ! Seems like each Grand Slam is his favourite when he's playing it..

Anyway you'd understand what I meant, right ?

I can see rafa winning the next 2 majors. He is just so hard to put away in a best of 5 match. You have to realize that rafa wasnt even serving big in the whole tournament. He averaged around 105mph. he will crank the serve back up for wimby and the hard courts, and be more aggressive.

That being said, I would love to see fed win the next 2 slams. :D

I think fed will win wimby 'im not going to miss' won win wimby for rafa fed dealt with the topspin to the bh fairly well today if fed hits most of the shots he hit today they dnt come back on a grass court and serving 60%+ on grass court. If fed can play like he did today he will get rafa on the grass lower bounce means he will hit more than 11 backhand winners and winning 20/29 net points on clay against rafa these are all positives fed can take to his turf as he now aims for history and the Sampras Seven

I disagree. I think it's more the other way around: Nadal was the only person who would have beaten Federer today.

IMO, Nadal didn't play poorly at all today. Federer was just very aggressive, and forced Nadal to basically play defense through much of the match - which Nadal is probably the best at.

Just to add, Nadal played some amazing defense today. How many times did Federer look like he had the point won, only to be forced to hit an overhead from behind the baseline, when Nadal's defensive lobs landed just a few inches inside the court.
