Djokovic is a completely different case if you ask me. And he already had a Slam prior to his second one at AO.
I mean, yeah, Hell! ...I am still believing Gulbis will win a slam but I know that it is a wishful thinking. At least he never got serious yet, so the hope is still there. (I doubt it though)
Murray on the other hand, has been VERY serious in the last 3 years -

So his set back is real and long term. Maybe permanent.
