Federer wins Roland Garros and becomes "greatest of all time

Postby gokor b » Sat, 28 Apr 2007 13:05

many tennis critics have said he will be known as the greatest of all time as soon as he wins a roland garros. i have to agree with that because the man, lets face it has "done it all!"4 straight wimbledon's, 3 straight US, and 3 australians. at the beginning season he was looking unstoppable not droppin a set in austalian. a record not done in 27 years!!! but now im not sure if this is the Roger Slam year if he conitnues to play the way he has... Roger is my fav. and its such a shame to see him lose matches now due to unforced errors. Canas does not have the talent to beat federer on any given day i truely believe that and federer lost those 2 times due to unforced errors that he never makes. i also believe he could have won at monte carlo but he was still makin errors against nadal and to beat nadal, u cant do that especially on clay. its just so sad seeing his team with sad faces all the time now in touraments. 7-6 7-6 to a friggen qualifier, are you kidding me??? heres the deal, if he can cut down his errors just in half, i truely believe he will win the French Open this year....but can he do it in time, only time will tell.

Roger Federer is one of, if not the greatest, but Canas is very talented too. You fail to realize that Fed hit all those UE's against Canas because that's what Canas makes you do...he tries to make his opponent frustrated and go for too much, which is what he did to Fed...he proved it's not a fluke by beating him twice. Anyways I don't think Federer will win R.G this year...all my money is on Nadal.

I say yes, he will punish Nadal in the final.

I really think he at least deserves to win it once.

I don't think Roger will win it this year, but I do think he will win it at some point in the future. I think Nadal will be hard to stop though unless he gets injured or something... Federer will have to play very well to beat Nadal on clay and Nadal will have to have an "off day".

quite easy:

gonzales beats rafa in the semis and roger gets the title vs him in the final.

but i think "a real roland garros win" for federer just would be beating rafa in the final.

it's possible, if federer believes in oneself.

federer can lose vs rafa in the finals of rome and/or hamburg...if he will fight back in paris and capture the title, everything is fine....big players for big moments

like I said when I spoke to you Gokor, I still think he will not win it this year... Yes, he will get it but I don't think he will do it this year.

Nadal. Not too confident with Federer's play right now. Although, most of the tournaments are in Europe as I type.
'06 Wimbledon, Hamburg Masters, & 4 Doubles' & 4 Singles' Titles
2 U.S. & French Doubles' Finals
542 Tournaments, 1024 vs. Opp., 1204 Rds.
