Postby Kalech » Sat, 24 Mar 2007 01:04

As you may be able to tell by what is posted below, I AM ABSOLUTLY BORED OUT OF MY MIND, thats not just bored a little, this is completely overcome that i feel the need to share this all with you lovely people... oh right, the question:-

Why is it that people with western grips look like retards?

(Please don't take it personally if you are one of these retards, im just very very bored ;p)

Oh yea, do the poll thingy as well... unless your crying into your pillow because you've just seen a vedio of yourself using a western grip... then i would advise you to change grip as quickly as possible...

Can't wait to hear all the Raffa worshipping minions replys ;)
(Feel free to say i have no life or whatever you would say to me being this bored btw, because it will not phase me. I know all who say that have their wrist firmly 'BENT' about their racquet in an unatural way.

It's not a good grip. I use an Eastern grip forehand.

I'm only half-retarded. Semi-western

Actually, this reminded me of something I thought of a while back. It would have been cool if on TS2, instead of stats for power and spin, you had a stat for swing speed and then chose the grip you used. Then you could have maybe a flatter forehand and more spin on your backhand. It would probably be to technical for the average gamer, but it would make the game deeper.

sometimes semi-western, but full-on Western is just too much. I'm not that strong a dude so I can barely get a ball over the net with a Western.

Rob I had that same idea too. I think that's the next step in tennis video-games...i.e, so technical that it freaks 90 percent of people out.

No, apparently the next step in tennis games is to have no compromise: ie, Sampras' serve, Nadal's speed, Henman's volley, and Agassi's ground strokes. And you only have to press and hold 2 buttons to master all of them.

The problem with Space Invaders is that it's a classic and very well known. Ppl don't care how crappy it might be for todays standards

It looks like they are doing things wrong and they are unaware of it, like if you want to see MacBeth at the theatre and the actors were Ricky Gervais and those 2 guys from peep show-its all wrong(I voted yes)

They do not last as long as the other players. They succumb to tennis elbow a lot because of the odd positioning of the foreward arm and elbow. However, who is to complain? They get some mean jumping high ball action to their game.

Good. I am learning all of the grips for my intermediate tennis class. I will best learn what is better for me. What and where I am holding the racket now gives me the hard flat power for the balls.

I like that. However, I do what to mix it up with spins from time to time.
