Is Laver Cup harming the tour?

Postby JoeClark » Wed, 27 Sep 2017 11:48

Hi there,

Dzumhur beat Fognini in 3 sets to clinch the St. Petersburg open and his first Tour title, and no one is talking about it.

IPTL happened after the season. Laver Cup was held at the same time as another important tournament. Why is the ATP silent about this? Why are they not criticizing Federer? And why is Federer showing such contempt for the tour?

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

A lot of traffic going on here :)

I enjoyed the cup and many players put some serious effort into it (particularly Federer-Kyrgios). Yeah it's mostly for fun like the Hopman-Cup, but you could see some "continental pride" in the player's game. It should not be a mandatory event, that's for sure.
