Lol, I've noticed the "Rafa curse" Rafa lost to Brown, who lost to Troicki, who lost to Pospisil, who lost to Murray, who lost to Federer, who lost to Djokovic!

Very sad for Roger today, But I'm sure he will get his 8th Wimbledon title soon....

Federer now (since 2-3 years) is under the "Law of Tsonga".
Few years ago Jo said "I can win a Grand Slam. The problem is I have to defeat 3 Big 4 in a row. One, I can do it. Two, is almost impossible, 3...never happened".

Federer today cannot beat Murray and Djokovic in a row.
Or better, he really cant beat Nole in a Grand Slam final (but I think he could win in a semifinal), while agst Murray or Wawrinka, he has his chances.

PS I didnt mention Nadal cause right now, he doesnt seem to be competitive at the highest level.

I personally feel that it wasn't like Federer was exhausted or tired. He was just mentally not strong enough. The moment he gave his serve back at 4-2 in 1st set he never got his game back up. It felt like he was very nervous as if he's playing his first grand slam final

Because after that game, Djokovic was completely in the match.
Yesterday Federer couldnt do what he did agst Murray (or what he usually does on grass) cause Nole didnt let him to.

And his most effective baseline tactic was harmless to Djokovic. Moving around the ball to hit inside in forehand down the line was one of the match-keys for Federer, but cross court fh by Nole was simply insane yesterday.
It always went near or actually on the lines.
Even when Roger tried with backhand, the ball came back deeper and faster.

Yes, he should have served more 1st serves in (but he ended with 67%, not so bad), and he missed a couple of big shots...but what can you do agst a guy that makes 16 unforced in 4 sets? Average 4 unforced per set.
Amazing.
And most of his unforced were in non-dangerous situation (40-0 when he was serving or when the other was serving).

Fed Fans turn into Rafa fans......making up excuses.

He got outplayed and lost. Period.

Fed lost once again.
That's quite disappointing considering how he played in this tournament. You wonder what it would take for him to win a Slam again. Maybe some favourable draw and not facing Djokovic in the final. It can be done but it's difficult for him to beat 2 top guys in a row in a GS and that makes me sad.
I don't care if he's not number 1 anymore..I don't care if he loses to weak players or gets beaten more often by Djokovic or Nadal. I care about him winning a slam once in a while. It's been 3 years since he didn't do that. Too long.

Well.. By reading this thread i can't see anyone making excuses.
Indeed Federer just got outplayed and lost. There was nothing Federer could do
Novak was just beasting away with his Serve, Return and Baseline skills.
Usually if you a certain player loses its because they were outplayed because
the better player of that match always wins!

Of course, This is very though to watch, I just want to see Federer get his 18th slam
Perhaps, He can do it at U.S Open given that he has a easy draw.
Personally i feel Novak has been playing Better than he did back in 2011.

How much easier do you want it to be for Fed? Never played someone ranked higher than 16 until the SF.

Semi-Finals 16
Marin Cilic
L 36 46 46
Quarter-Finals 24
Gael Monfils
W 46 36 64 75 62
Round of 16 19
Roberto Bautista Agut
W 64 63 62
Round of 32 42
Marcel Granollers
W 46 61 61 61
Round of 64 104
Sam Groth
W 64 64 64
Round of 128 76
Marinko Matosevic

Would have played against Nishikori in the final. What did he do? Lost to ****ing Cilic in straight sets LOL

Also the Big 4 are clearly breaking apart. The only player who is consistently winning big tournaments is Nole. Nadal looks like he is done for dinner, Murray can't win Slam finals and Fed can't go to 5 sets anymore. Last year was the first time in forever (2003) when 4 different players each won a Slam.

There was something "wrong" with Cilic those 2 weeks. I think he was abducted by aliens and replaced by some advanced robot or something  (and released afterwards)

Yeah, Cilic was a serve and forehand machine those weeks. Finally fulfilled his potential, but will never play that well again.
