Maybe, maybe not. I guess it depends on a player. But if we talk about 4 of them as emate mentioned, than obviously - no contest, majors are better.


You can't ask this question to players who actually achieved both goals (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, but also Sampras, Agassi, ecc.).
You gotta ask to players with just one accomplishment in their career.

Murray and Del Potro for instance.
Or, for the other side (Number 1 without any Slam), Rios, Jankovic and Safina.

I don't think they'll answer you that number 1 is more important...

I don't think ANY player would choose the No. 1 ranking over a Slam victory.

Ask Rios, Wozniacky, Jankovic, Safina :D
