Need wimby tickets

Postby Elargento » Tue, 12 Jun 2012 05:46

Last time i aske a similar question about roland garros somebody here told me one could buy ticket for the day after in the stadium, so last year i went there and i was shocke by the news that since that year 2011 the tickets were only resold online in a place called viagogo.

the question now is: do you know if wimbledon has the same system or there is a chance i can go early in the morning to buy tickets for the same day?

I know last year my mother went on the day and got tickets for the outer courts for the day for around 30 pound. I would assume it is the same this year. But if you want center courts or no.1 or 2 i would book online

I'm not sure who sells online officially all i know a 100% is last year my mother went during first week and got tickets for outside courts on the day.
Best bet for buying online is going through the official ATP Site or wimbledon site

About ticket sales:

About buying show court tickets on the day of the match:

So it appears that Wimbledon says it is selling show court tickets from the stadium. You just have to be early and get in the queue. I havent been there myself though.

I've been in the queue last 2 years (no, that's not 2 years of queueing for this year) for the 2nd monday. To get a show court you have to hope Murray is out of the tournament.

1st year we arrived monday 1am, got ground passes, last year we arrived sunday 1pm, and ended up on showcourt 2. For center court we would have had to get there on saturday before the evening already.

Even if you get in with just a ground pass, you can try to get showcourt tickets through the reselling point. There people who leave early can leave their tickets. Huge queues though.

Don't know how other days are. I'll be going again this year, just not sure what day(s) yet.
