i think that he won t be n 1 because she only plays grand slams and five tournaments more.
nevertheless, wozniacki for example plays a lot of tournaments, around 20 in a year.
i think that wozniacky will be number 1 a lot of years

I think she will too much game, guts, determination, hunger desire and most importantly belief for her not to she believes she can beat anybody heck no one on tour has a winning record against her so tell me who is gonna stop her that she cant beat ?

She probably won't play enough but she has 12 months now with nothing to defend at all. If she went on another tear and won 3 slams and a yec then she could but she wouldnt stay there for long. Plus it will depend if Wozniaki keeps winning consistently although maybe there are signs she will start getting picked off a bit more now like she does at the slams.

the Olympics are a big motivation for Serena so playing enough tournaments wont be a problem plus with her current schedule she should be in or near the top 20 by the end of the year and if she wins tonight she will be in the race for a spot at Bali.

plus she will be aware that in order to overtake wozniacki or who ever gets the spot cos wozniacki is too beatable and the blueprint has been laid out for everyone to bet her, sereena will need to play tourneys.

so i dont think woz will finish number one with kivtova , kim, azarenka, sharapova hunting her down she will at some stage succumb to the pressure and drop the ranking. personally the best thing that could happen to woz if she doesn't win New York is lose the ranking so she can focus on winning the slam without the pressure of being no1.

Wozniaki is going to have to start losing for her to wake up to what she will have to do to wins slam. She looks like a well rounded girl, looks good and is a great competitor, she is important to the tour.

Serena will not play Bali even if she qualifies, it is a ridiculous poor mans yec anyway.

Sharapova looks the likely threat for No.1 this year. A fit and motivated contest between Serena and Kim is what I want to see now.

Btw Serena a set up on Bartoli. I can't remember the last time she won a title other than a slam or yec.
