Donald Young is at it again with the USTA, this time he unleashes at them through twitter. Is this guy ever going to just play tennis? I mean to request the wild card be given to him even though everybody else was there didnt seem right to me.

I used to think he was going to break through, but i dont think he will anymore. He has to get rid of the parents before anything good can happen

He's had his fair share of wildcards and not took advantage, he should look to get up the rankings than live on handouts.

I second that. All the hype around him is gone now. I think in 2005 he was one of the "next generation of greats" ...WOMP!!:|

He's gonna get in directly anyways since he's in the top 100...he's obviously frustrated for a different reason and the wildcard was just the boiling point (they held a small playoff for the wildcard, so it really wasn't even in the USTA's hands to decide who got it).

The article states he won't get in directly, because he was #104 at the deadline for the French Open, and that he has to play qualies instead.

Ah sorry, didn't read the article. Only heard the report a few days ago from another forum.

That's a really early deadline. Having said that, he will probably get in after some others pull out. He's fourth in line so that is a pretty good chance to get in still.

Don't get why he's lashing out at all. If he couldn't make it into the tournament then it's only his fault. Maybe if he made better use of the multitude of wild cards he got in other tournaments, he would have a direct entry spot into RG. If he didn't make it well then maybe that means you're just not good enough.

And I mean he even had another shot at it in the playoffs. If he can't make it through that then he isn't the best wild card so he shouldn't go through to RG.

Maybe one day he'll stop thinking he's special...
