Robin Söderling is on fire

Well, not literally of course. But he won his third title of the year today and have a W/L stat of 16-1!!! :D

Cro: didn't you write somewhere that 2011 would be the year of Söderling? You might be right (exept for the winning AO 2011 part)!

I did indeed.

No worries about the AO, he'll win the USO.

In fairness, he is doing this by beating fairly mediocre players, Cilic is the best player he has beat so far, and he only just beat him

What about Roddick, Troiki, Tsonga? Not mediocre in my book. And even so, it takes alot to have a w/l stat like that and to win 3 tournaments, two of those in two weeks.

Well no matter who he's beating, he's beating everybody put in front of him without exception so that's pretty impressive.

His movement has improved and he's finally understood the value of the backhand slice! 8) His new coach has been good for him. The US hard-court season will be interesting.

Agree completely!

But the clay-court season could be interesting aswell. Last year he didn't do so well until his finals in Barcelona and Roland Garros. So he has alot of points to earn and few (execpt Roland Garros) to defend.

I think of the top 5, Murray has the most work to do. He's gonna be out of the top 5 soon if he doesn't pick it up.

Soderling can definitely make a run at Fed's spot in the rankings if he does well on the clay. I think Djoko's gonna take over 2 pretty soon, and Sod's gonna be right there to take 3 from Fed.

If he loses 1st round at RG, he's knackered.
