I practiced a little in December and i signed up at the Doha 250 in singles only. I never played doubles online and i think i will play this season only as singles player.

For the coiche of my player i was in dubt, Federer or Nadal? Better serve or better defense? I opted for Roger, that i controlled more often in practice.

Than, the season for me has began, and for the first round in Doha i had to face Babuino, ranked No. 34 in the world, for sure not an easy opponent for my first match.... but i knew that it would be tough for me, without a ranking, to begin to play in a 250 category tournament.
January 4 i played the match with Babuino, he dominated in the first set, giving me a disappointing 6-1... I played not so bad, some games went to the advantages, but he was more focused than me in the moments of tension.
Second set started badly too, i was 1-5 under, and from there i played 3 games almost in a perfect way, calcelling some match point also, but on the 5-4 for Babuino he was too good and he ended the match acing me every time.
Babuino was very good and very kind with me also at the end of the match, but i was unable to return his serves because i always played with a guessing tactic. Now i understand how to do the auto-position move and i am a better returner than before.

Now for the next tournament i flew up in France for the FRANCE F1 60+, that will start on January 12... i hope to do better there, i played some good matches in practice (online), winning a fair number of them... i am confident.

My goal for the season is not to end in a particular place in the rank, but to do my best in every tournament and try to win every match i play... obviously i hope to play my best tennis in the Grand Slam tournaments, in Melboune too, but i know it will be difficult as hell.

See you on tour.....
